First airing in the U.S in 2007, the series follows the life and woes of Hank Moody, (David Duchovny) a charismatic and loveable rouge who finds it almost impossible to turn down free sex and booze, and why should he? A successful writer, Hank relocates to L.A after he becomes disillusioned by the terrible film adaptation of his novel, turning it from a …into a sappy romantic comedy. There he sinks into the hedonistic lifestyle that California is renowned for; one of pleasure, sin and sex, and the audience loves it!

Three years on the series is still a success. Now set to film the fourth season, humorous and titillating, the show hosts a bevy of beautiful female characters and engaging plot lines, both for Hank and his friends and family. In the first season alone, we see Hank struggle to raise his daughter, win back his ex and get his career back on track, all the while meeting bewitching and willing bed partners. At the same time, we watch as his best friend dabbles in an office affair, and the beginnings of a new fetish.
