Does Gleeden encourage infidelity?

How do I browse on Gleeden?

    The silver menu bar at the top of each page is your starting point to browsing on Gleeden. At the top of each page, you will find access to Gleeden's main functions:

  • "Home": This link gives you direct access to the home page and all of the important information:"Daily information", "Online members", "Recent visitors", "Gleeden News"...
  • "Search": In this section you can carry out a simple or advanced search using very specific criteria. To know the criteria go to the Help heading "Contact Search".
  • "Profile": This heading allows you to modify your personal information, your Gleeden account, and your public and private book and to view your personal profile as it appears to other members. You can also find members who you have blocked ("My blacklist").
  • "Contacts": regroup members who you have added to your favourites ("My favourites"), members who have added you to their favourites ("I am their favourite"), crushes that you have received or sent ("Crushes received" et "Crushes sent"), members who have given you access to their private book ("I have access to their private book") and those who have recently viewed your profile ("My recent visitors").
  • "Mailbox": This heading allows you to access your personal messages exchanged with other members ("Inbox") and Gleeden messages that you have received ("Messages from Gleeden"). You can also read, write and consult your old messages.
  • "Manage credits": On this page, you can buy credits, increase your credits thanks to your promotion codes, obtain information on your secured payments and on the value of Gleeden credits.
  • "Help": Go to this column for any questions; we make an effort to put together the maximum amount of relevant replies that correspond with your expectations. What is the guarantee of Trust and Confidentiality?

To protect members of the virtual community, Gleeden has put in place a high performance security system for personal data. All pages on the site Gleeden are protected in the way that none of its members' personal data can be viewed from the outside. We advise you not to give out your email address, instant messaging details (MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Gtalk...), telephone number or any other contact details.

Photos are saved in a shared book in two sections: public book and private book. The first one is accessible for all members and the second is only accessible for members who you have chosen to give access. This way you can manage the confidentiality of your profile.

Furthermore, Gleeden is part of the American security, sphere program: Safe Harbor. This program guarantees the protection of members' data on and offline reinforces the protection of personal data in sent messages and assures that our members comply with the standard code of ethics and with the best marketing ethics.

Finally, Gleeden respects your private life thanks to the strictly confidential and anonymous payment methods. Whatever your mode of payment is, the name “Gleeden” will never appear on your bank statement. An anonymous name will be used and regularly changed in order to guarantee your security and anonymity.

What does Gleeden's moderation policy consist of?

In order to assure that you have pleasant and courteous exchanges with real and active members, Gleeden's moderation policy is the most intransigent on the market of meeting websites. Thanks to our team of moderators, photos and texts that are fake, indecent or provocative will automatically be refused. The moderation is effected immediately. Members can be ousted from the site if they do not respect our regulations.

    Here are the three elements on which our moderators will be intransigent:
  • Your user name must not include nor promote comments that are racist, homophobic, discriminating or that have any social, political or religious connotations. It must not include vulgar words or parts of vulgar words.
  • Your photos: to be sure that your photo is accepted, make sure that it: is no bigger than 1Mb, decent, individual, does not show children, is not taking from too far away or blurred, does not show any characters likely to identify you (road name, license plate), does not communicate any personal information, is not retouched, does not show you naked, does not show directly or indirectly scenes of sex.
  • Your introduction phrase: must be respectable and include no vulgar characters, must not be insulting towards anyone, must not have any sales or commercial aim, and must not promote any socially connoted stereotype or any political or religious messages.

Help us! Gleeden is your site. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure that the space is as safe as possible. If you detect any abuse, you can report it on the page of the member that it concerns. After verification, a penalty will immediately be given by the Gleeden team.

What is the 100% real members' policy?

We favour quality over quantity: All members are real people who have the will to take part in the platform. We have no intention of deceiving our members: behind every interlocutor, behind every message and behind every profile is a real person. There was a trial run so that, once the site was launched, the 100% real members policy was applied.

We are against the creation of fake members and the use of animations to increase traffic on the site and maliciously manipulate its members into buying packs of credits. Members are charged for credits so that we can provide them with better quality meetings. Furthermore Gleeden guarantees the selection of members to maintain a top-of-the-range space in the motivation of members, the quality of language used, of published content and in the performance of the site's functions.

How does Gleeden fight against vulgarity, swindling and prostitution?

We fight against all forms of vulgarity, prostitution and swindling. Our moderation teams speak many languages and have regulations to respect. These regulations control the access of members onto the site by verifying that the photos are not fake, that the description corresponds with the photo, that the introduction phrase is respectable, etc. Moreover, every member can report at any time any abnormal behaviour to our team which can lead to the permanent banishing of the impeding profile.

Modify my personal information

How do I modify my email address, user name, date of birth and sex?

As a security and moderation measure for our members, some of your personal information uploaded during your registration can not be directly modified on the site Gleeden: your email address, user name, date of birth and your sex. However, to modify these details, you just need to send an email to our Service Client at support@gleeden.com and we will modify them as you wish, as soon as possible. In this case, do not forget to specify your user name and email address which you registered with.

How do I modify my password? What happens if I lose my password?

You can modify your password by clicking on the link "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the link "My account". All you have to do is enter your new password and enter it a second time in"Confirm" to confirm the modification

If you have lost or forgotten your password, you just need to click on "Forgot your password?" at the top of Gleeden's home page www.gleeden.com (page accessible without being connected). You should then indicate your email address used when registering and you will then receive an email with your login details, password and user name.

How do I modify my other personal details?

Except for your email address, user name, date of birth and sex, you can modify and refine at any time any of your personal details by clicking on the link "Profile" on the navigation bar. Then:

  • Click on "My info" to modify: your introduction phrase, your sexual orientation, the type of relationship you are looking for, matrimonial status, number of children you have, your profession, your income, your physical details, your location and your intimate details.
  • Click on "My account" to modify: your password, receipt of Gleeden news letters and our partner offers, the language for your Gleeden interface, the exit link for your panic button, the configuration of your email alerts.
Be careful! Do not forget to click on "Save changes" at the bottom of the page to validate your modifications!

For all other modifications, just send an email to our Service Client at support@gleeden.com and we will modify them as you wish, as soon as possible. In this case, do not forget to specify your user name and email address which you registered with.

How do I create an account?

You can create your account on Gleeden's home page www.gleeden.com (page accessible without being connected). You should follow the posted instructions at each stage of the registration. You should fill in your pseudonym, your date of birth, your place of residence (country, post code, town), save a valid email address and then read and validate the user conditions of our site. You will then be able to access the site and profit from the applications offered by Gleeden.

In order to obtain the best search results, think about completing your personal details and downloading a photo by clicking on the link "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My book".

How long will it take for my account to be activated?

Your profile will be activated as soon as you click on the link that you will receive in your mailbox. However, some elements need to be accepted by our moderators (photo, introduction phrase et email address). This operation can take up to 48 hours before these appear on your profile.

Can I complete / modify my profile after my registration?

In order to validate your registration, you should have saved a certain amount of information. It will then propose that you complete your profile immediately or later. At any time you can add or modify information. To do this, you just need to click on the link "Profile" on the navigation bar. You will be able to manage all your personal information on this page.

Why should I complete my profile, giving as many details as possible?

In completing your profile with as many details as possible you allow yourself to have one of the best visibilities on the site, to have more of a chance to be elected member of the day and optimise your chances of meetings with members who share the same interests as you.

How do I see my profile in the same way that it appears to other members?

In order to see how your profile is viewed by other members, you just have to click on the link "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My profile".

How do I deactivate my Gleeden account?

You can deactivate your Gleeden account at any time . You just need to send an email to Service Client support@gleeden.com specifying your User name and email address with which you registered. From then on, your profile will be removed from Gleeden and will no longer be visible to other members. Your profile and personal details will be kept in our data base so that you can reactivate your account at any time, without being required to create a new one.

I have not received the confirmation email for my registration

I have registered but I have not received an email to confirm my registration

Once you have registered on gleeden.com, we will send you an email to confirm your registration. Once you will have clicked on the link indicated, you will be able to acces Gleeden's interface and start to meet some great people.

    If you have not received an email:
  • Verify that the email address that you have used to register is valid.
  • Verify that the email has not arrived in your unwanted messages box (Junk mail).

If you are still unable to find the registration email from Gleeden, send a mail to our Service Client support@gleeden.com specifying your user name and email address, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Whatever the case, think about authorising Gleeden as a valid expeditor in your mailbox in order to receive all the important information that we will be likely to send you.

My details / account have been erased

Can my profile be erased?

Your profile will never expire. However, it can be erased in the case of a violation of the site's user conditions and code of ethics to which you have subscribed to during your registration. For further information, go to the following question below "What does Gleeden's moderation policy consist of?".

Some of my details have been refused, why?

In order to guarantee a secure service, Gleeden imposes a very high level of moderation. Therefore, before they can be accepted permanently (until the next modification), some elements in your profile need to be accepted by one of our moderators.

  • Your Username must not include nor promote comments that are racist, homophobic, discriminating or that have any social, political or religious connotations. It must not include vulgar words or parts of vulgar words.

Increase profile views

How can I improve my chances of meeting someone with my profile?

In completing your profile with as many details as possible you allow yourself to have one of the best visibilities on the site, to have more of a chance to be elected member of the day and optimise your chances of meetings with members who share the same interests as you. Don't forget that complete profiles are shown on the percentage bar at the bottom of your photo and a complete profile shows a member's motivation to meet people.

    For more visibility, you just need to respect these four points:
  • Compose a good introduction phrase by clicking on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar and by completing the tab "My info". Give as much information as you can on your tastes, expectations and your personality in the tab "Personal details".
  • Be honest, especially about your marital status. Gleeden is a space without taboo; you have no reason to hide! Moreover, the recommendation system (used only for men, whom only women can evaluate), shares your good qualities with other members. The more positive evaluations you have on your profile, the more female members will want to contact you.
  • Choose a recent photo which respects our publication conditions (for more information, go to the question "What type of photos should be displayed in my books?" on the page "My photo books" in Help. A profile with a photo increases up to 5 times your chance to meet a great person. Even if it doesn't reveal your identity, it will make your profile more attractive. If you do not wish to display a photo to the public, you can add photos to your private Gleeden photo book by clicking on "Profile" on the navigation bar, then by adding the photos in the tab "My book".
  • Compose a good introduction phrase by clicking on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar and by completing the planned framework for this in the tab "My info". This space is reserved to describe yourself and make other members want to contact you.
  • Become a VIP member: The VIP pack is a fixed rate over 6 months giving you unlimited access to Gleeden's services. It also allows you to have a more visible profile, the chance to be member of the day and the possibility for other members to read and send you messages for free. To become a VIP member now, click on the link "Manage credits" on the navigation bar.

Careful! Remember to respect the publication conditions of your user name, your introduction phrase and photos because these three elements are subject to moderation. My photo books

What is the difference between public book and private book?

Gleeden offers you the possibility to publish photos and images on the site in personal books. Every image and photo is subject to validation by our team of moderators.

    There are two books:
  • "My public book" displays photos/images which all members on the site can access. Everyone can look at them. The public book can contain a maximum of 3 photos and you can make a comment on them.
  • "My private book" however has limited access. This option has been put in place to guarantee your confidentiality and to allow you to publish photos that are only visible to people you want them seen by. So that other members can have access to them, you have to accept their request for access. You can at anytime take away this access from a certain member or a group of members that you have given access to. It can contain a maximum of 5 photos.

How do I add a photo?

To add a photo to one of your books, you just have to click on the button "Profile" in the navigation bar then on the tab "My book". Select ("My public book or "My private book". Whichever book you choose, click on "Add a picture", then "Choose File"; you will then be able to choose a photo from one of your files. Once you have chosen the photo, click on "Send".

Your photo will then be subject to moderation before being accepted (or refused).

Why has one of my photos from my book been erased?

How do I know if my photo has been accepted by the moderators?

If a photo in your public book or your private book has not yet been accepted by our team of moderators, it will be displayed in the box "Pictures waiting to be approved" in the tab "My public book" or "My private book" after having clicked on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar.

What type of photos should be displayed in my books?

In order to have a profile that is viewed more by other members, we advise you to display a personal and recent photo which respects our publication conditions.

Make sure that your photo: is no bigger than 1Mb, is in jpeg, gif or png format, is decent, individual, does not show children, is not taking from too far away or blurred, does not show any characters likely to identify you (road name, license plate), does not communicate any personal information, is not retouched, does not show you naked, does not show directly or indirectly scenes of sex.

A profile with a photo increases up to 5 times your chances of meeting a great person. Even if it doesn't reveal your identity, it will make your profile more attractive. If you do not wish to display a photo to the public, you can add photos to your private Gleeden photo book by clicking on "Profile" on the navigation bar, then by adding the photos in the tab "My private book".

How will I be notified when a member asks for access to my private book?

    There are three ways you can be notified when a member asks for access to your private book:
  • By email alert: We send you an automatic notification to your personal mailbox specifying the member who has asked for access to your private book. These email alerts are configurable by clicking on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My account".
  • In the box "Daily information" on your home page: next to the tab "My private book", the number indicates the amount of requests you have for access to your private book that you have not yet accepted.
  • In the link "Profile" on the navigation bar and in the tab "My private book": the box "Members requesting access to my private album" indicates the number of requests waiting to be accepted.

How do I find the private books of members to which I have been accepted?

    There are three ways to view the private book of a member who has accepted your request for access:
  • When you are in the link "Mailbox" on the navigation bar or when you use the search bar, you will be able to click on the button "Open the private album" under the photo of the member if they have already accepted your request for access to their private book.
  • By clicking on the profile of a member (passing for example through the link "Home", or through the link "Contacts"), you will then have a box "Private book" which will appear on the member's webpage in which their private photos will be displayed if the member has accepted your request for access.
  • By clicking on the link "Contacts" then on the tab "I have access to their private book", you will be able to view all the members who have authorised your request for access to their private book.

How do I find members who have access to my private book?

    There are two ways to find members who have access to your private book:
  • Click on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar and on the tab "My private book": the box "Members who have access to my private album" indicates all the members that you have authorised to view your private book.
  • In the box "Daily information" on your home page, click on the tab "My private book" the box "Members who have access to my private album" indicates all the members that you have authorised to view your private book.

My Gleeden email alerts

What are my Gleeden email alerts?

The Gleeden email alerts are automatic notifications that we send you to inform you about the activity on your account and you can choose the ones that you wish to receive.

    There are 7 different email alerts:
  • A member has added you to their favourites
  • You have a crush
  • Request for access to your private book
  • A book has been updated
  • You have received a new message
  • New visitor on my profile
  • New members of the week in my region

In order to be informed about the latest news and promotions on Gleeden, we also send you the Gleeden newsletters and our promotional offers by email.

How do I modify the settings of my email alerts?

To change the settings of your email alerts, you just have to click on the button"Profile" on the navigation bar, then click on the link "My account". You choose when you would like to be alerted by email by clicking "Yes" or "No" to the right of the corresponding options on the pages "Newsletter and offers from partner" and "Email alert settings".

My Mailbox

What are my "Gleeden Messages"?

The tab "Messages from Gleeden" on the page "Mailbox" contains all the important messages that have been sent to you personally by the Gleeden Management team or by our team of moderators.

How does my Inbox function?

To access your messages exchanged with other members, you just have to click on the button "Mailbox" on the navigation bar then on the tab "Inbox". This page contains all the messages exchanged with members and are filed by name: A box puts together all the messages received, sent and unread from a member.

As a result, your navigation is simplified ; you will no longer spend hours trying to find a conversation! All your sent and received messages are filed in the same place!

How do I send or read messages?

To send a message, you can go onto the profile of the person you would like to contact and click on the option "Send a message", or you can go directly to your inbox to reply to someone that you have already written to. In this case, you just have to click on the button "Mailbox" on the navigation bar, then on the link "Read" in the box which summarises your exchanges with the member concerned. You will then be able to reply to the last message.

To read a message, click on the button "Mailbox" on the navigation bar, then click on the link "Unread" in the box which summarises your exchanges with the member who you wish to contact. You will also be able to see the number of messages unread in the section "Daily information" after having clicked on the button "Home" on the navigation bar.

How can I be informed when a member sends me an email?

    There are 3 ways to be informed when a member sends you a new message:
  • By email alert: we send you an automatic notification to your personal Inbox specifying the member who has sent you the message. These email alerts can be set up by clicking on the button"Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My account".
  • In the box "Daily information" on your Home Page: next to the link "Private messages", the number indicates the amount of unread messages that you have in your inbox.
  • On the page "Mailbox" on the navigation bar and in the tab "Inbox": the box of the member who has sent you a new message appears in violet (then in grey once you have read the message) and the number next to the column "Unread" indicates the number of messages that this member has sent you that you have not yet read.

How do I view the history of my exchanged messages with another member?

On the page "Mailbox" on the navigation bar, the messages exchanged with members are filed in boxes; one box contains all the messages received, sent and unread for one member. Therefore, your navigation is simplified ; you no longer spend hours trying to find a conversation! All your sent and received messages are filed in the same place!

Gleeden Chat

How do I invite a member to chat with me?

To chat with someone, they must be online, that means that the circle at the top right hand side of their profile should be green.

    You can invite a member to chat in two ways:
  • Click on the member's profile (going either by the Home Page, or by the section "Contacts", or in "Mailbox"), and click on the button "Start chatting" under the profile photo.
  • When you are on the page "Mailbox" on the navigation bar or when your search results are displayed, you just have to click on the member's box on the icon "Start chatting" under the member's photo.

Once the chat window opens, type your message, then tap the enter button on your keyboard to send a message the member.

How can I be informed when a member wants to chat with me?

To chat with someone, you should either be online, that means that the circle at the top right hand side of their profile should be green.
When a member wishes to speak to you, a chat window will appear at the bottom of your page, with the first message from your correspondent. You can accept the chat session by replying to the person or if you don't want to accept, close the window.

How do I know if the member has opened the message in the chat window (or not) that I have sent?

When you send a message to a member via chat, as soon as the member opens the conversation window that you have started, a message will appear: "has opened this window". Therefore, if the member does not reply, you will at least be able to know if they have read your message or not.

What are the different functions of Chat?

Once a chat window is opened with a member, at the bottom of your page, several functions and sounds are available to you marked with icons to the right of the member's photo:

  • "Clear conversation": erases all your messages exchanged and allows you to continue to speak with a "new" chat window.
  • "Show/hide time": allows you to display or hide the time the messages were sent and received.
  • "Add friend": to add a member to your favourites.
  • "Report": to report the abusive behaviour of a member to the moderators.
  • "Block contact": to add a contact to your black list.

Can I choose to appear online or offline?

You can change your connection status at any time. The change is effected immediately. The coloured circle at the top right hand side of your profile shows your status ("red" for offline / invisible and "green" for online / visible).

To change your connection status, you just have to click on the last image on the navigation bar. By clicking on the image, you either display a "Status: online" or a "Status: offline".

  • When you are on "Status: online", the other members know that you are present and can contact you via chat.
  • When you are on "Status: offline", you can navigate as normal on the site, but the other members do not know that you are present and can not contact you via chat.

What does the button "Chat" do on the chat bar?

This button allows you to quickly see the members that are online among your favourites, members with whom you have spoken and those which you have invited to chat in the last two hours.

Send virtual gifts

What is a virtual gift?

By sending a gift, you increase your chances of meeting someone in person by up to 30%!
More original than sending a private message; virtual gifts are the new way to connect with other members!
The gifts are classed in different categories which determine their price.
Certain gifts are free, and some other gifts come with the possibility to attach your own personal message.

How do I send a virtual gift to another member?

Click on the profile of a member (for example, from your home page, go to the "contact") page to find the member to whom you would like to send a gift: in the top right corner of their profile, there is a button entitled ‘send a gift’ under the photo. By clicking on this button you will be taken to the page which allows you to send the person a gift.
Then, choose the gift you would like to send. To be made aware of when your gift has been opened you must select the acknowledgement of receipt option, then send your gift!
You will find a list of all the virtual gifts you have sent on the "Gifts send" page.

How does a person know when they have received a virtual gift?

    There are two methods which advise you that someone has sent you a virtual gift:
  • Email alert : we will send an automatic notification to your personal email account informing you that another member (their user name will be given) has sent you a virtual gift. The settings for these email alerts can be altered by clicking on "Profil" in the navigation bar, then going to "My account".

  • You will find a list of all the gifts you have received on your "Gifts received" page.
  • In the box "News of the day" located on your home page, click on "virtual gifts received" link within this box, you will be transported to a page which lists all the members who have sent you a virtual gift.

Send a crush

What is a crush?

Gleeden provides you with a delicate but efficient way to meet people: the crush. It gives you the possibility to express your preference towards another member without speaking to them directly and without them being online. The recipient will be informed with a message when they login again. This Gleeden service is free!

How do I send a crush to another member?

    You can send a crush to another member in two ways:
  • Click on the member's profile (by passing through either the Home Page, or the link "Contacts"), and click on the button "Send a crush alert" under the profile photo
  • When you are on the page "Mailbox" on the navigation bar or when you have search results displayed, you just have to click on the member's box on the heart shaped icon "Send a crush alert" under the member's photo.

How can I be informed when a member sends me a crush?

    There are two ways you can be informed when a member sends you a crush:
  • By email alert: we send you an automatic notification to your personal mailbox specifying the username of the member whom you have sent the crush to. These email alerts can be set up by clicking on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My account".
  • In the box "Daily information" on your home page, click on the tab "Crush alerts" to display all the members you have sent a crush to.

How does the section "Contacts" function?

    The section "Contacts", is accessible through the navigation bar, there are six tabs:
  • "My favorites": These are the people with whom you wish to maintain special links. By adding a member to your favourites, you will no longer need to do another search in order to contact them, they will be in your list and as soon as they login it will automatically be displayed in the chat window.
  • "I am their favourite": This tab contains all the members who have added you to their favourites.
  • "Crushes received": keeps the crushes that other members have sent you.
  • "Crushes sent" : allows you to find crushes that you have sent to other members.
  • "I have access to their private book" :you will find here all the members who have authorized you to access photos in their private books.
  • "My recent visitors": this tab allows you to see who has recently viewed your profile.

How do I add a member to my favourites?

    You can add a member to your favourites in two ways:
  • Click on the member's profile (passing through the Home Page) and clicking on the button "Add to favourites" under the profile photo.
  • When you are on the page "Mailbox" on the navigation bar or when there are search results displayed, you just have to click on the member's box on the star shaped icon "Add to favorites" under the member's photo

How do I block a member?

    You can add a member to your black list in two ways:
  • Click on the member's profile (for example, by passing through the Home Page) and click on the button "Block user" under the profile photo.
  • When a chat window is opened with a member, at the bottom of your page, click on the stop icon to the right of the member's photo: "Block contact".

How can I be informed when a member adds me to their favourites?

    There are two ways to be informed when a member adds you to their favourites:
  • By email alert: we send you an automatic notification to your personal mailbox specifying the username of the member you have added to your favourites. These email alerts can be set up by clicking on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My account".
  • By clicking on the button "Contacts" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "I am their favourite", you can view all the members who have added you to their favourites.

How do I delete a member from my favourites or my blacklist?

  • "My favourites" : to remove a member from your favourites, you just have to click on the button "Contact" in the navigation bar then on the tab "My favourites". Remove the contact from your list by clicking on the star icon on the top right hand side of their profile page.
  • "My black list" : to remove a member from your black list, you just have to click on the button "Profile" in the navigation bar then on the tab "My black list". Remove the contact from your list by clicking on the green icon on the top right hand side of their profile page.

    Gleeden has developed a unique search system: Search patented search system:

How do I make a quick and advanced search?

    To search for a member, you have two possibilities:
  • Use the quick search available on your Home Page underneath "Daily information": it only includes an age selection, matrimonial status, and connection and location status.
  • Use the advanced search by clicking on the button "Search" on the navigation bar: you will then be able to fill in more information in order to find who you are searching for: personal information, location and physical information.
You will always arrive on a page of results which contain the profiles that correspond to the criteria you have given.

    Gleeden innovates and puts in place a genuine space for its members to exchange information, news and content.
    This information is divided into five different categories:

Evaluate other members

How does the evaluation system work?

Women on Gleeden evaluate men. To give a member a positive or negative evaluation, it is imperative that you have already been in contact with them via Chat or internal messaging. If this is not the case then you cannot evaluate them.

After having a conversation with the member you wish to evaluate, you may then evaluate them on their profile page. You can view their profile page by going to your "Contacts") page and clicking on their profile picture. Alternatively, you may search for this member, or make your way to their profile page by clicking their profile picture in a chat or a private message with them. Once on their profile page you then click on the tab "Evaluation" at the bottom left hand side of their page. Finally tick the three key words out of the available choices of qualities which describe them the best for you. The chosen words will be posted in large letters in a word cloud.

Why evaluate other members?

Members have the possibility to mutually evaluate according to the list of criteria which is published. This permits an automatic disciplinary restraint of members which makes the virtual framework more pleasant and courteous. Furthermore, it allows the obtainment of subjective information on someone.

The evaluations are serious and have an important effect on members of the community. We ask of you to only give justified and thought out evaluations.

Why can’t men evaluate women?

Mainly composed of women, writers, experts and communicators, the Gleeden team has chosen to put the power in the hands of the female members. In the case where there is a confidence or security problem, we think that this will permit a disciplinary auto restraint for members who make the virtue framework more pleasant and courteous. In addition, this system allows women to obtain subjective information on male members. It’s up to you men, to give women a desire to meet you!

Notepad

Where can I save private information on Gleeden.com?

If you wish to write down notes regarding a meeting, an address or another detail, Gleeden.com has created a notepad for its members. With an auto-save system, the notepad application allows you to quickly jot down everything that you wanted to keep secret. You will find the notepad on the left hand side of your screen, in a slim window.

Report abuse

How do I report abuse?

    There are three ways to report abusive content:
  • Click on the member's profile (for example, by passing through the Home Page) and click on the button "Report abusive user" under the member's photo.
  • When a chat window is opened with a member, at the bottom of your page, click on the exclamation mark icon to the right of the member's photo: "Report".
  • For a private message, click on the button "Mailbox" on the status bar, then on the conversation history with the member concerned and click on the link "Report your conversation" under the person's username.

Why should I report abuse?

Help us! Gleeden is your site. It is everyone's responsibility to make sure that the space is as safe as possible. In order to insure pleasant and courteous exchanges with real and active members, Gleeden's moderation policy is the most intransigent on the market of meeting sites.

When you report abuse, our moderators study the profile and conversation history carefully of the person accused to judge what penalty should be given, if necessary.
The consequences can be from a simple warning to banishment from the site.

Using the Panic button

What is the use of the panic button?

The button "Panic!" (at the top, right hand side of the interface) allows you to get out of the site's interface quickly in a moment of panic. You will be able to return on the site afterwards.

You can chose which site you would like to be redirected to, by personalising the button.

How do I personalise my panic button?

You have the possibility to choose the page you wish to be redirected to when clicking on the button "Panic!". In order to do this, you just have to click on the button "Profile" on the navigation bar, then on the tab "My account". Then, in the box "Emergency exit link (Panic! Button)", type the URL of the site you wish to be redirected to.

Management of credits and anonymous payment

How does Gleeden's credit payment system function?

Long term monthly payments are over! Gleeden has put in place a system of packs of credits. This way, Gleeden members are assured of the seriousness and willingness of other members wishing to contact them. We charge you for these packs so that we can provide a better quality of meetings for members.

This credit system permits any member to buy the credits they need, without any engagement. From now on, your consummation no longer has a time limit: use and recharge your credits when you want.

I bought a Gleeden pack but my credit balance has not increased.

If the credits you have bought do not appear on your Gleeden account, send an email to our acquisition service billing@gleeden.com with a copy of your transaction receipt, your order number, your user name and your registration email address. We will reply as soon as possible, after we have looked into your request.

How do I know how many credits I have left?

In order to be able to best control your consumption, your balance of credits will appear on all your pages at the top right hand side, under your username, in the case "Credits: xxx".

What are the different packs of credits I can buy?

    Gleeden proposes four different packs of credits to respond to the various desires of members:
  • "Discovery Pack": 25 credits will be credited to your account. This pack allows you to discover Gleeden's online services: chat, mailbox and private book.
  • "Pack Seduction": 100 credits will be credited to your account. This pack allows you to save 20%; this is our members preferred solution!
  • "Pack Temptation": 400 credits will be credited to your account. With this privilege account, you no longer have to worry about your credits and you can give your self the chance to meet some great people.
  • "Pack VIP": It is a fixed rate over 6 months giving you unlimited access to Gleeden's services*. It also allows you to have a more visible profile, to have more of a chance to be member of the day and the possibility for other members to read and send you messages for free.

How do I buy credits?

To buy Gleeden credits and meet some great people, you just have to click on the button "Manage credits" on the navigation bar. All you have to do now is choose the pack of credits which suits you best! A box will appear under the selected box and this will permit you to choose your mode of payment.

What are the modes of payment?

    Choose which modes you prefer:
  • By internet: you can choose to pay by card (Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, Master Card, Euro Card, Cartasi, Laser, Carte Bleue, Diners).

How do I use a promotional code?

    There are two different types of promotional codes
  • If you have received a promotion on a pack, click on the pack that you wish to buy and enter the code in the space provided, under the title of the pack, before choosing your mode of payment and continuing.
  • If you have received a code to increase your balance of credits, type it in the box provided at the bottom of the page "Earn free credits (promotional code)" and click on "Accept".

What are the credits' values? Which of Gleeden's services do I have to pay for?

The registration on Gleeden is free. The creation of your profile is therefore free. You can access other members profiles as well as their public book, send them a crush and add members to your favourites for free.

However, if you wish to send a message to another member or read another member's message, chat with someone, or read their private books, you have to subscribe for a pack of credits.

    Messaging : you don’t pay for every exchange, you just pay for the first time you get in touch: only the first message sent to a member is charged; the rest are free
  • 4 credits to send a first message
  • 3 credits to read a first message

    Chat, you pay a fixed amount of credits of each chat session (no time limit applies to a chat session):
  • 4 credits to send the first instant message of a chat session
  • 3 credits to respond to a request to chat

Will the name Gleeden appear on my bank statement?

In order to respect your private life, the name Gleeden will never appear on your bank statement, whatever your mode of payment is. An anonymous name will be used and regularly changed in order to assure your confidentiality.

Deactivating an account

How can I deactivate my Gleeden.com account?

You can find the option to deactivate your Gleeden.com account by logging onto your profile and selecting the My Account tab. By deactivating your account you are choosing to disappear from the Gleeden platform, but your profile will be saved. Your messages, favorite contacts, personal notes and credits will be saved during your absence. Because your profile will no longer be accessible to the community, you will no longer receive any notifications from other members. You are susceptible to receiving exceptional offers from us.

How can I reactivate my Gleeden.com account?

To reactivate your account, go to the My Account tab in your profile. You may deactivate your account once a month only; this means that you will have the possibility of reactivating your account but will not be able to deactivate it again for the 30 days following the reactivation date.

How can I delete my Gleeden.com account?

To permanently delete your Gleeden.com account, you will need to log onto your profile and select the My Account tab. At the bottom of that page a “Delete my account” button can be found. Beware, as this operation cannot be undone.
